2010 CrossFit Games Georgia Sectionals first workout, The Rock, by CrossFit Again Faster – video [wmv] [mov]

Perform the following for max repetitions:

6 Min. Burpees
4 Min. Deadlift, 185/115lb
2 Min. Clapping Push Ups
1 Min. Push Ups

Post total reps completed to Comments.

    Did a mom WOD today, 5 rounds of 12 KB deadlifts with 28 KG and 12 pushups. Followed up with Brian’s lovely idea of rowing for 100 calories, that took me about 10 minutes. Great to do the warm up outside this morning, I love that spring is coming!

    Bummed I can’t make it to the box today. By “bummed” I really mean that I am super psyched that the day I have to miss is the day that includes 6 minutes straight of burpees. Jeremy had a gleam in his eye yesterday when he told me about this one. You’re a sick, sick man. :)

    Had my first CrossFIt session today, in the form of Boot Camp. Hardest hour of my life. I thought that CrossFit would make me feel like I feel when I walk into the “weight room” at the gym. I thought I would feel out of place and I thought I would feel like I didn’t belong. Boy was I wrong. When I felt like I couldn’t do one more flipping burpee, Kathy and Grant pushed me through. And when I couldn’t do squats correctly, Grant helped me modify it until we found something that worked for me. And when I apologized, Jeremy said, “NEVER apologize- just work hard.” So, if this what you guys are about, if this is what CrossFIt is about, then I’m in.

    A BIG thank you to all who helped me today. Now I’m gonna go cry and nurse my wounds.

    Jayhawkmolls (also known as Molly, my sister!), I cannot even express how proud I am of you. And kind of in awe. Bootcamp scares the pee outta me. :) Crossfit, there’s another sister in the house, and she’s got me and Meggin’s determination x10. She’s going to be a beast. :) Thanks to everyone for doing what you do best – welcoming a new face and making them feel like a million.

    Will you are an absolute machine doing that tough row class then the WOD. Brian we are really chasing Will b/c once he decides to only do the WOD he will blow us away.

    I think maybe we should incorporate six minutes of burpees into row class……who’s in? 11:15 Row class was awesome today! Rough one, you all did great! I promise no burpees if you all keep coming in to row!

    So good to meet all the new people tonight! Just so you newbies know, my nickname is Dori (like Finding Nemo) so if it takes me a couple of times to remember your name, Sorry! Can’t wait to see what you all will do at CF!

    I got 130rx which mean for the first wod ever I did real burpies without belly flopping, real clapping push ups and real regular pushups. I was not impressed with my number but it’s still progress. Mary you are a beast I’m amazed by your number!!!

    106rx…I was determined to rx this workout and that meant performing at least 1 clapping pushup. I managed to eek out 5, 2 of which actually sort of looked like a clapping pushup, the others not so much and I fell over once. I continue to struggle with upper body strength, but I’ll get there…I know this because I did one real pullup before the workout. Progress… How cool to have another White sister in the house! I’m going to have to bring in my girls for back up…

    hi box friends.
    three things….
    1. how proud can a mom be to have all three of her daughters pursuing the best that they can be—and now all together at crossfit? you guys please make middle daughter molly welcome. yes 3 girls born in 3 years….if you guys know meggin and mary rogers, this is their middle sis, molly. sherrif jay, don’t you dare scare her!! :)
    2. jessi,, thank you for every session helping me to do things i don’t think i can do. i felt like this was my best workout since i started. :)
    3. just a little warning to anyone who might be wearing a top or shorts with strings…especially long strings like i had on today….they got caught in the rowing machine today. it wasn’t good enough to like pull my face down to the bar so jessi could get a picture…but it was pretty darn good.
    this has been a really good day…and as meggin says…and that is all.
