Coach Island Mel helps Casey find his balance point during Tuesday’s hodge-podge WOD.
Recently, Travis Harrison of Jesup, GA posted a 3:07 Gorda Fran (21,15, 9 thrusters at 135 pounds and pull ups) on the CrossFit Football site. It caused such a stir on the internet that Travis replicated the effort on film – and faster – clocking a 2:50. The pull ups don’t meet Games standards, but the feat is amazing. This athlete can generate some serious power. The Georgia Sectional, on February 27 and 28th, will be the initial step towards Aromas for Travis.

11:22 as RXd as I could. Used 95# for snatch, completing 30 in 3:57. Then used 135# for clean and jerk. Good strong WOD. Where was everyone? I think there were only eight today at the nooner, still a kick butt group. Where are all of the posts? Looking forward to tomorrow’s WOD.

12:21 with 65 lbs for the snatch and Rx’d weight on C&J. I’m really glad I went today, despite my lingering soreness from the damn cartwheels

Going to miss the WODS until Tuesday!!!I’m on my way to Ft.Worth for work/fun.Going to look up the crossfit there. It is crazy how attached one can get to the madness!!! I will take pleasure in going to Globo Gym tonight and doing this WOD!

10:39, 65# snatches and rx’d clean & jerks. My nose is probably going to be the body part that feels this one tomorrow. That tends to happen when you throw 85# at it. I can honestly say that I’ve given blood, sweat, and tears
to Crossfit now.
Tomorrow looks awesome. Can’t wait.

I miss my CF buddies. My job currently has me only making limited trips to the box, and I definitely am having CF withdrawals. Sorry to miss this one…it’s been awhile since I’ve thrown some big girl weight around. Gonna try to make it in tomorrow morning at the crack of dawn. See you guys soon! And Meggin, you are a beast.

12:55, but the best part? For the first time when doing a lift, I wasn’t haunted by the sense of impending doom that I might trash my back. May have had something to do with Brian’s discipline of form. ps- I think I might have a slight man-crush on CrossFit. It’s sorta awesome.

My sis and Kathy killed my time today! YOU guys are the beasts!
Way to go! I am deeply saddened, however, that I missed seeing my sis smack herself in the face with the bar. My own mental picture is pretty great, but seeing that in person would have given me ammo for years to come. Shucks.

I wish you could have been there too. I would have made it a point to bleed on you. A lot. I would have grabbed hold of your sleeve and stuffed it up my left nostril, and I know you wouldn’t have cared, because we’ve always been nothing but kind and caring to each other. Your concern and sympathy is a little embarrassing, though. Seriously, I’m fine. Don’t worry about it. Quit calling me to see if I’m OK. I’ll live. And really…after knowing me for 25 years, you don’t already have better ammo than that?! I underestimated you.
