W.O.D Wednesday 11/18/09
With the excitement from the events of this past weekend still fresh on all of our minds, there have been emails and questions from many of you wanting to see photos/video recapping the action. Fortunately, Chris White was on-hand snapping shots and rolling tape at the firefighters challenge and at the H.O.A. challenge. Over the next couple of days, I’ll post links to the pictures that Chris took at both events. Chris is in the process of making us a video of the weekend- we’ll share it as soon as it’s ready!!!

34:17 with 135 DL, 65 push press, 16 KB, and ring push ups on my knees. This was tough, I started with 155 DL and did 13 reps and realized that was just a little too heavy for me to do 75 times. Good workout though, I felt like I pushed myself outside my comfort zone.

Just realized I misstated my DL, I started with 135 and dropped to 115.

23:40 WAY scaled. 135lb deadlift, 45lb push press, 25lb KB, push-ups on my knees. Should have done more weight on press and KB, but my shoulders have been a bit tweeked and I still have to lift trays all day, so better safe than have to call into work. Great job today folks! There was so much weight being lifted, there was only 2 plates left on the floor when the WOD was taking place! Fun workout too!

31 something. I think I ended up with 115 DL, 16 KB, 65 push press, and ring push ups on toes. I am so proud of the ring push ups!! Deadlifts, not so much
Great group today at 9! Thanks, Miss Tina!

I might have even dropped to 95 on DL. Who knows. It was all a blur

Rough WOD. 29:22 rx’d. The deadlifts were excruciatingly heavy by the last round. Nice though that immediately after 245 lb deadlifts, the 105 pound push presses felt light. Like Ashley, this WOD really pushed me outside of my comfort zone. Good luck to the pm crowd.

Wow that was heavy!! 37something. Did rx. Started out with ring pushups on toes but finished on my knees.

26:40RX. This WoD just made me feel sick and hurted. Like a slow and agonizing death! I thought for sure I would end up with a DNF, because by round 3 I couldn’t stand up. Proud to have gotten it done though and actually finish with the wieght!

Tough one, way heavy, especially after a week off in Disney, 32:25rx.

42:30. 185 deadlift/95 push press/35 KB swing and some sort of push up. Brutal!

Also didn’t think that I would finish. This is one of those WOD’s that you really wish you hadn’t had gone at noon so you could slip into a warm bath until the pain goes away! Finished with 36 something.
After something like this, it also very tempting to go get a fat, greasy burger and fries, but I went with grilled chicken and a spinach salad! Not what I was craving, but filled me up.

Canyon, I know EXACTLY what that craving is like! Way to stay strong dude!!

If you have forty bars and 4000 lbs in bumper plates and kettlebells, might as well use them all. Way to go 5 and 6 am crews. Got a little cozy in there with bootcamp but as always, you guys trucked through it all. NICE!!!

I’d have to agree.. it was great to get in there and workout with the 6am crew and see all the early riser friends that I hadn’t seen in a while.. packed house!

This wod SUCKED!!! I kept waiting for Jessi to tell me to drop the weight but NOOO. She said I could do it and don’t worry about my time. So I did 40:19 rx with ring push ups on my knees. Thanks Jessi for not letting me give up. I love how you are so excited about everything we do not just at CF but in our personal lives as well. Thank you. You are the best!!!

28:49 rx pushpress & kb / 135 DL / on the knee push ups. Seriously could not have done it that fast without Kathy pushing me the whole way! Thanks girl, you rocked it! Great 5pm crew!

30:57 using 225# DL, RX the rest. Half way through the second round I yelled out ” SUCK!” everyone laughed, and then continued hacking away at the WOD. This was a great, tough WOD. My lungs aren’t burning like they do from Fight Gone Bad, but my arm, legs, eye lids, and hair feel broken. Good grouping of exercises. Great 6 P group. Everyone put it all on the table. Looking forward to tomorrow’s WOD (I think).

32:02 rx’d. Jessi, I’m serious – this one needs a name. A really mean, vicious, brutal name. I actually think Erik may have already named it – just plain Suck.
That said, I can’t wait for tomorrow’s WOD.

The SUCK WOD!!! (as in sucking for air) I like it. Started with 155lbs. DL and after about 6/7 on the 1st round scaled to 145lbs. It is amazing what 10lbs. can do for you? KB Rx. Push Press RX. Rings on the knees. Difficult but rewarding to make it through. Had a great 6p group. 39 min ish…….

Correction 20lbs off on DL and 135lbs.

Hey Mary great time. I agree with the SUCK name for this wod. It could be the F ing SUCKS or SUCKS A$$ wod.
